This report is only available for organizations with the Patient Billing module.
The Patient Collection Report is available for users with the Patient Billing module in Avea. The report allows a user to track a Patient's A/R by comparing the Good Faith Estimate with any Patient Payments collected.
Generating the Report
Let's review how to generate the Patient Collection Report.
- Navigate to the Reporting section of the system.
- At the Organization level, scroll down to Billing Reports and select Patient Collections Report.
- Input the filters you wish to generate the report with.
- Practice: This allows a user to generate a report for specific practices when desired.
- Date Type: This can be based on either the Admit Date or the Discharge date.
- Start Date/End Date: This instructs the system to generate the report within the timeframe established.
- Prospective Patients: The report will include Patients who have not been admitted.
- Archived Patients: The report will include Prospective Patients whose profiles have been archived.
- After selecting the filters you want to generate the report with, select the Download button.
Available Columns and Definitions

Patient ID | This is an optional alphanumeric ID manually established by a user or the Patient. | Patient > Profile. |
Patient Demographics | The report will have individual column for each of the following Patient Demographics: First Name, Last Name, Suffix, Middle Initial, Gender, and Date of Birth. | Patient > Profile. |
Most Recent Practice |
The report will display the Practice most recent admitted treatment episode. |

Treatment Episodes and List |
The report will have individual column for both the number of Admitted Treatment Episodes and a list of the Account Numbers assigned to each Treatment Episodes. |

Admit Dates |
The report will have individual column for the Most Recent Admit Date and a list of the all Admit Dates. |

Total Good Faith Estimate |
The report will include the sum of all of the Good Faith Estimates for the Patient. |

The report will include a sum of the Total Patient Payments Collected for the patient. |

Payment Plans Setup |
This report will indicate whether the patient has an active payment plan. |

The report will include a sum of the duration of all active Payment Plans. |

Payment Plan Upcoming Payments Last Date |
The report will include a list of the Last Planned Payment Date for each Payment Plan. |

Patient Notes |
The report will include a list of the most recent note entered by a user. If there are no user notes, then the most recent system note. |

Helpful Hints
- Viewing the Report: This report will not display and is only viewable through download.
- Collection Performance: Use this report weekly and monthly to get an overall snapshot of collection performance and identify patients who may require additional collection efforts.
