  • Review Insurance Payments: Fixed an issue where EOBs were not appearing under the Review Insurance Payments tab for matching. 
  • Corrected Claims: Fixed an issue where attempting to Resolve a claim led to an "Object Reference Not Set to An Instance of an Object Error".

  • Create New Claims: This tab has been updated to the new Avea look and feel!
  • Kipu Integration: If a previous treatment episode exists for a patient, the system will automatically import the insurance from the patient's most recent treatment episode when the patient is admitted for a new treatment episode. 
  • Responsive Navigation: Updates have been made to Avea's left navigation menu to increase its usability on smaller screens. 
  • Treatment Episode: The default Quick Link on the Treatment Episode has been updated to Claims instead of Intake.
  • Approve Private Pay Billables in the Background: To prevent timeout errors when approving a large volume of Private Pay Billables, a new option to Approve Billables in the Background has been added as a setting within the Organization Configuration section.   • Create New Patient Billables: This tab has been updated to the new Avea look and feel!
  • Create Payment: A new Co-pay column is now available on the Create Payment screen, which allows you to document all copay line items, instead of using a PR-3 adjustment. Any PR-3 adjustments received via ERA will automatically populate in this column.
  • Insurance Claims Out of Balance: The calculation used to determine whether claims will populate on this worklist has been updated to use the Difference Covered vs. Expected. This replaces the simple balance calculation that was previously used.  
  • Patient Payments: Patient payments will now be automatically applied to billables with a balance when the Auto-Apply Payments toggle is enabled in the Organization Admin settings.
    • Once a billable is approved, any unapplied payments will be automatically applied. This also works for payment plan payments.

  • Claim Form Rule: A new claim form rule behavior has been added for professional claims, Claim Form Service Line Note, that will allow users to omit the service line note.

  • Patient Search: Fixed an issue where not all patient profiles were populated when using the search bar.  
  • Principal Diagnosis: Fixed an issue where the Principle DX did not automatically populate when the Admitting DX was added for the patient.

  • Good Faith Estimate: A new field is added to the treatment episode in the Admit/Discharge tab called Good Faith Estimate. This field also appears when adding a new treatment episode for the patient. This will allow users to track patient estimates.
  • Patient Ledger: A new totals row is added to the Patient Ledger under Patient Responsibility Balance that displays the sum of the Good Faith Estimates from a patient's treatment episodes, the total patient paid, and the patient balance.

  • Payments Error: Fixed an issue that resulted in the following error message when applying a patient payment "HTTP status code 400: Multiple allocations from the same payment have been made for..."
  • Claim Status Report (By Claim): Fixed an issue where the Practice filter did not filter by practice.
  • Diagnosis Codes: Fixed an issue where Behavioral Service Diagnoses codes were not able to be removed from a treatment episode.

  • Transactions Report: The Transactions Report is now available in the Managing Organization Reports section and can be filtered by organization. 
  • Closing Date Report: The Closing Date Report is now available in the Managing Organization Reports section and can be filtered by organization. Note: This report will only displayed when at least one organization within the managing organization has Can Close Period set to Yes.

  • Diagnosis Codes: Fixed an issue where the Admitting Diagnosis Code was unable to be set as the Principal Diagnosis when adding more than one Diagnosis code in the Add Patient window.

  • Create Corrected Patient Billables: This tab has been updated to the new Avea look and feel!
  • Taxonomy Rule Updates: A new Payer Taxonomy field is now available in the payer profile. This field can be combined with the new Taxonomy claim rule.  Users will now be able to set claim form rules to specify Facility Taxonomy, Practice Taxonomy, and Payer Taxonomy.
  • Payments: Now, the Auto-fill Payment Lines option always shows if there are more claim instance line items than payment line items.
  • Patient Billing: The Private Billing Web Address in the Patient Billing Organization Admin settings is no longer a required field.
  • Daily Census Report: Patients who only have prospective treatment episodes are now excluded from appearing in the Daily Census Report. 
  • Active Patients: The Active Patients tile on the Dashboard > Home no longer includes patients who only have prospective treatment episodes. 
  • State Lists: The state lists throughout Avea have been alphabetized for convenience. 

Fixed

  • MO Claim Status Report: Fixed an issue where the Managing Organization Claim Status Report didn't provide an email notification upon completion.
  • Expected Rates: Fixed an issue where Expected Rates did not reflect accurately on the Claim Status Report by Service Date.
