Services Overview

Creating a billable service in the RCM is a 3-step process: make the service, create the billing profile, and reference it to establish the chargeable rate. Once this process is completed, the service can be recorded before being created and submitted as a claim in the RCM.

Create and Manage Combined Service Sets

Combined Service Sets record two standalone services at once. They are required to record standalone authorization information on professional claims. For information on how to create and manage a combined service set, click here

Create and Manage Non-Medical Services

Non-Medical Services are available for users with the Patient Billing module. Services configured as non-medical will generate a private-pay billable. Non-medical services do not require a billing profile since they will not be submitted for insurance reimbursement.
