Rejection Message
DIAGNOSIS CODE IS INVALID. MUST BE A VALID DIAGNOSIS CODE FOR THE DATE ON WHICH THE SERVICE WAS PERFORMED.
Definition
This rejection occurs when the diagnosis code is invalid for the claim date of service or for the reported diagnosis code qualifier.
Resolution
To resolve this rejection:
- Navigate to Patient Treatment Episode > Intake > Behavioral Service Diagnosis (Or Standalone Service Diagnosis).
- Select "Set" on the invalid diagnosis.
- Select the new diagnosis code.
- Navigate to Patient Treatment Episode > Insurance Billing > Review Corrections.
- Select "Check for Corrections".
- Resolve the claim correction.
- Navigate to Work Center > Insurance Claims > Submit claims.
- Submit.
