Box 46 - Service Units

Box Definition

Box 46 is used to show the total units for each line of a service on the claim.

In AveaOffice

The number of service units is tied to the treatment marked in the Attendance calendar and can be increased or decreased when editing the standalone service form or by adding more than one U/R-required service on the same date. 

 

To manage the number of service units for a standalone service,

  1. Go to the Attendance section of AveaOffice.
  2. Set the week range in the Week: drop-down to view the desired date.
  3. Click the drop-down on the patient line below the desired date to add a Standalone service...

    OR click the mceclip6.png icon, mceclip7.png button, then mceclip8.png icon to edit an existing form.
  4. Add the total number of units to the Units field near the bottom of the form.

  5. Once complete, click Save.
  6. Submit your new or edited treatment for billing

 

To manage the number of service units for a UR-planned service,

  1. Go to the Attendance section of AveaOffice.
  2. Set the week range in the Week: drop-down to view the desired date.
  3. Click the drop-down on the patient line below the desired date to add a UR-planned service.

  4. Click the mceclip10.png icon below the existing UR-planned service to display a new drop down, then add another unit on the same day.

  5. Once complete, submit treatments to billing.
