For Organizations with the Patient Billing module, the collection status feature provides additional context for the current state of the patient's overall account. Additionally, a Patient Collections report is available for users seeking a comprehensive view of the organization's patient statuses. Let's review this feature together!

Create and Manage Patient Collection Statuses

Let's review how to create and manage collection statuses!

    1. Navigate to the Organization Admin and click Configuration.
    2. Next, click Patient Collection Statuses.
    3. Click Create Patient Collection Status.
    4. Input the name of the status you wish to create and click Save to complete the process.

    3. Click Edit next to the patient status you wish to update.
    4. Make the desired changes and click Save to complete the process.

Assign Patient Collection Status Workflow

Let's review how to assign a collection status to a patient! 

  1. Navigate to the Patients section of the RCM.
  2. Locate the desired patient and click Patient Statements.
  3. Finally, update the Patient Collection Status dropdown to complete the process.
