Standalone Services: Changes in the Attendance Calendar

  • Updated

Standalone services can be corrected without building a new service or setting a claim rule if the desired changes are to: Facility, Rendering Provider, Referring Rendering Provider*, Referring Rendering Provider Role*, Service, Billing Provider, Diagnoses, or Present on Admission Indicator.

*Please note that the Referring Rendering Provider and Role fields only appear if the related setting is turned on. Please contact Support if this option should be enabled.

Updating Standalone Services on the Attendance Calendar

Let's review how to modify standalone services after claim submission and generate claim corrections.

  1. To switch the previously billed service for the new configuration navigate to the Attendance Calendar.
  2. Select the week in question from the Week drop-down.
  3. Click the lock for the previously submitted service.
  4. A warning will populate to verify if the service needs to be unsubmitted and will list the associated claim number. Ensure that this claim number matches the claim that needs corrections.
  5. Click Unsubmit.
  6. Click the Edit icon to modify the service.
  7. Make the necessary changes. For standalone services, changes in the attendance calendar can be made to:
    • Facility: Switch between facilities under the same practice.
    • Rendering Provider: Change the rendering physician on the claim.
    • Referring Rendering Provider: Only appears if the setting is turned on.
    • Referring Rendering Provider Role: Only appears if the setting is turned on.
    • Service: The service on the claim can only be switched to another standalone service.
    • Billing Provider: Choose between Practice and, if applicable, Rendering Provider.
    • Diagnoses: Add, change, or remove diagnosis codes.
    • Present on Admission Indicator
  8. Click Save to update the service.

  11. Next, click on the patient's name.
  12. Navigate to the patient’s Treatment Episode > Insurance Billing tab and click on Review Corrections.
  13. Click Check for Corrections and click Submit.
