Users can manually record attendance on an individual or bulk level through the use of the Import feature. Standalone services such as Outpatient, Drug Screenings, and Office Visits can only be selected on a per-day basis.
Kipu EMR Integration: For users integrated with the Kipu EMR, services will populate on the attendance calendar after successful transmission from the EMR Billing Report.
Record a Standalone Service
Let's review how to record a standalone service!

- Navigate to the Attendance Calendar.
- Select the + icon next to Add Service.
- Under Add New, select Standalone Service.
- Select the Facility.
- Next, select the service under Select Standalone Service.
- Update the Rendering Provider dropdown.
- To change the Billing Provider from the practice default, click the dropdown.
- To update the default payment method from Insurance to Private Pay, click the Payment Type dropdown.
- Under Add Standalone Diagnoses, select the + icon to add the existing diagnosis.
- To include a different diagnosis, select Add New Diagnosis.
- To include a different diagnosis, select Add New Diagnosis.
- If needed, update the Units and add any Treatment Modifiers.
- Finally, select Save to finish the process.
- Navigate to the Attendance Calendar.
Copy Recent Standalone Service
The Copy Recent feature allows you to quickly bill the patient for a standalone service that you've billed them for in the past. Let's review how to utilize this feature!

- Navigate to the Attendance Calendar.
- Select the + icon next to Add Service.
- Under Copy Recent, select Standalone Service.
- Next, select the service under Select Recent Service.
- Click any dropdown to update the information from the previously recorded service.
- Finally, select Save to finish the process.
- Navigate to the Attendance Calendar.
Submit Attendance
Once you have recorded all dates of service, click Submit for Billing to move all recorded services to the Work Center for claim creation. For more information on creating claims, click here.
Helpful Hints
When billing medication, you may need to account for a specific dosage by billing fractional or zero units. This can only be achieved when the default billing profile has been configured to Allow Partial Units or Allow Zero Units. For more information on configuring billing profiles, click here.
