Box Definition
Box 24b is used to identify the medical services and procedures provided to the patient. Enter the CPT or HCPCS code(s) and applicable modifier(s). This field accommodates the entry of up to four two-digit modifiers.

The Procedure and Modifier codes are managed in the service billing profile and professional service lines under the Services tab of Practice Admin.
To change the Procedure (CPT/HCPCS) code in Box 24d on the claim file:
- Go to Practice Admin > Services.
- Click on the service name.
- Choose the Billing Profiles tab.
- Click on the billing profile name to open the contents.
- Select to make a baseline or Scheduled Change Set edit to the procedure code.
- Enter the procedure code, then click Save.
To change the Modifier code(s) in Box 24d on the claim file:
- Go to Practice Admin > Services.
- Click on the service name.
- Choose the Billing Profiles tab.
- Click on the billing profile name to open the contents.
- Choose the Professional Service Lines tab.
- Click into the existing professional service line reference.
- Select to make a Baseline or Scheduled Change Set edit to the modifier code(s).
- Enter the modifier code(s), then click Save.
