Box 54a/b/c - Prior Payments

Box Definition

Boxes 54a/b/c on the UB-04 are where the prior payments received toward payment of the claim are shown in dollars and cents. This box displays A for Primary, B for Secondary, and C for Tertiary and is only available on secondary (2.x) and tertiary (3.x) claims.
