Box 53a/b/c - Assignment of Benefits Certification Indicator

Box Definition 

This field shows whether the provider has a signed form authorizing the third-party insurer to pay the provider directly for the service. The form contents will be "Y" for Yes or "N" for No.

  Additionally, the default benefits assignment for all patients can be configured within the Configuration > Insurance Billing tab of the Practice Admin. For more information on this section, click here.
