Service Line Must Equal Unit (UN) or Service Lines Must Not Equal Zero For Submitted Revenue Code
Definition
This rejection occurs when the Unit Measurement Basis for a Service is set to Days in the service billing profile. The types of services that need to be set to days include Detox and Residential treatments.
Resolution
A claim rejected due to the Unit Measurement Basis can be updated in the Service Billing Profile. The service billing profile can be located by navigating to Practice Admin > Services and clicking on the service name. From there, select the Billing Profiles tab.
Once a service billing profile has been selected, it can be edited to adjust the Unit Measurement Basis either through a scheduled change set or at the baseline.
Once the Unit Measurement Basis has been updated, the changes can be saved. Following this, the claim will need to be corrected for the changes to take effect.
